NNA Annual Meeting
Please join us for our 2019 Annual Meeting!
Monday, May 20th
Big Bricks, BACK ROOM
3832 N. Lincoln Ave
Meet and mingle with the NNA board and other community members! Our committees will give brief updates on the successes of the past year, members will vote on the board slate, and then we'll spend the rest of the evening together over drinks.
This is an opportunity for our members to see what we've been working on and what our current goals are. It's also a great place for non-members to learn about what we do for the community.
Light appetizers will be provided by NNA.
Please register to let us know you will be attending.
Please meet our 2019 Board Slate:
Renee Girardin has lived in Chicago for 20 years with her husband Sean. They were attracted to the Northcenter neighborhood in 2010 when they were looking for a strong community with a good school for their daughter. Coonley was that school! Renee has been actively involved with Coonley where she worked with the Arts Department at the school and helped with fundraising as a board member of Friends of Coonley. Renee is a Communications and Graphic Design freelance professional and was recently a Communications and Events Director of a 47th Ward Aldermanic Campaign. In her free time, Renee enjoys coaching softball at Welles Park, attending concerts, physical fitness/pilates and pretending to be an interior designer!
Liz Hinard and her husband Jon ventured north from Lincoln Park to the Northcenter neighborhood 16 years ago and it was one of the best decisions they ever made. Their 2 sons, Billy and Henry attended Bell school and CPS high schools. Liz spent 14 years as a critical care nurse before changing gears to a career as a full time real estate broker with @properties. She has been a participant in the Northcenter Garden Walk for several years and is excited to join the board and take a more active role in the Northcenter community. In her spare time, Liz enjoys cycling, Cubs baseball with her boys, traveling and of course gardening.
Jeff Jenkins and his wife Julie have lived in North Center since 2000. Their two children attend Coonley Elementary where Jeff served on the Local School Council for six years and has been an outspoken advocate for public schools citywide. Jeff is the Executive Dir. and Co-Founder of Midnight Circus in the Parks, the citywide Non-Profit. Along with his circus and community building endeavors Jeff is highly active in animal welfare issues. The Anti-Cruelty Society, Humane Society US, ASPCA, Found and Chicago Animal Care & Control are organizations he supports and works with. Jeff fills his down time, welding, woodworking and spending time with his family and rescued pit bulls Junebug and Rosie Rae.
