Our goal is to share the love of gardening and nature while also creating connections and community.
We meet bi-monthly where we enjoy speakers, activities and indulge in our gardening obsessions.
Some of the past topics have been:
•Preparing your garden for winter
•Composting with Urban Worm Girl
•Sustainability
•Enhancing your garden’s soil
•BeeKeeping
• A lecture from The Care of Trees
The Garden Club hosts an annual Garden Walk that has flourished…
We began with 20 gardens and this year had 43 gardens for visitors to tour.
We’ve added live music in several yards, demonstrations and lots of lemonade stands!
The money raised is donated to our neighborhood food pantry, The Common Pantry.
Check out photos of The 2010 Garden Walk.
Other events:
•A Spring workshop on planting container gardens
•Annual Fall Plant Swap in conjunction with the Bradley Street Yard Sales.
•Annual Holiday Wreath Decorating
